I have written the following press release on behalf PETA. Their members are invited to use it, without cost.

STOP MURDERING THE CHICKENS!

Throughout the world, especially in Asian countries, governments are murdering chickens, by the millions! The official reason is to prevent the spread of a phony disease, called "Bird Flu" that may or may not be on the horizon. The real reason is to promote the eating of the poor, helpless bovines that have not already be killed, to stop the spread of still another phony ailment, "Mad Cow Disease".

Our reasearch had determined that only one human being in the entire world has contracted Mad Cow Disease, one William Shatner, of the United States!

Why is it that only animals are blamed for all the ills of the planet? Shouldn't most of the blame be put on Homo Sapiens? These phony plagues are merely excuses to eliminate lower animal forms. Soon, we suspect, governments will find newer reasons to kill sheep, hogs, and even fish! The only benefit that we can see---and, it's a stretch---is that once all of the animals are dead, people will begin eating vegetables, as God intended.

What is really behind these mass killings of animals? Economics! By creating greater demand for animals, simply because of scarceness or unavailability, prices will rise and stock markets will do a land office business in profiting from animal deaths!

As we of PETA have always maintained, all animals should be allowed to roam, at will, all over the planet. (Kudos, by the way, to India, for protecting cows.) Nobody should be allowed to have "pets". Dogs, cats, even goldfish, should be allowed to live and multiply, without having to worry about being given shots, being constantly probed by veterinarians, and forced by their owners to always go on the paper, or in their litter boxes!

Case in point: The Westminster Dog Show. Do you think that those poor animals really enjoy preening for the judges? No! They've been forced into it, by brutal training methods! Do you think that they enjoy being transported halfway around the country, in cages? What would you think if there were a Westminster Human Show? Would you like to be a competitor?
Nay, nay, I say!

Dog and cat food companies are making billions, just because they cater to the wishes of humans who choose to confine animals, to do with as they please, while holding out food as "treats" for performing stupid tricks!

So, let's make a start by putting the skids on the killing of chickens and bovines! If the Bird Flu and Mad Cow disease should decimate our already overpopulated world, it is the Will of God, to control the propogating of people!

Stop killing animals, now!
