Meet with Patricia Pellen:

Patricia Pellen reaches today tops in the art of the rejoneo.On does not count more her triumphs, the latest to date is that of Fenouillet where it cut at the end of June four ears and two tails. R.C.: What represents for you the féria of Carcassonne?

R.C.: Which is your assessment of the féria of last year?

P.P. positive as a whole but with always the desire for better doing. It is what I have the intention to make this year. R.C. which are the horses which you will bring in Carcassonne?

Are R. C:Quels the horses which changed compared to last year?

P.P.: Yes, one espére to be embétés by the din of the anti-bullfight. I respect that one can not like the bullfighting but I do not think that they respect us while agisant such as they do it in front of the gate of the arenas. We do not prevent them from existing and let us not apply to them to accede to our passion. Simply, that they let to us exist and that they let evolve/move the aficion. It is necessary that they know that if that them interress not, there are millers people who are impassioned and who deplacent themselves to see this kind of spectacle.

Quelques questions à Patricia Pellen:

R.C. : Que représente pour toi la féria de Carcassonne ?

P.P. :Pour moi, cette feria est celle de l'aficion et de la volonté de faire perdurer les traditions taurines dans notre région. Il faut rendre hommage à l'investissement personnel, à l'ambition et à la reussite de cette poignée d'aficionados qui forme le CTC.

R.C. : Quel est ton bilan de la féria de l'année dernière ?

P.P. :Assez positif dans l'ensemble mais avec toujours l'envie de mieux faire. C'est ce que j'ai l'intention de faire cette année. Les toros avaient donné du jeux, ils étaient sortis intéressant et comme cette année ils ont remis le même élevage, j'espère qu'ils auront de la noblesse et de la mobilité pour que mes chevaux puissent s'exprimer.

R.C. :Justement quels sont les chevaux que tu vas amener à Carcassonne ?

P.P. :J'en amène huit, un jeune cheval débutant et sept chevaux confirmés qui ont chacun leur spécialité et un numéro différent à présenter au public : pour les énumérer rapidement : quiebro, banderilles a deux mains, banderilles al violin, galop de coté, etc...

R. C. :Quels sont les chevaux qui ont changé par rapport à l'année dernière ?

P.P. :Il y a en deux nouveaux, Gary et Mistral, et les autres qui étaient un peu vert ont franchement bien murri : ils ont pris de l'assurance et du métier.

R. C. :Aprés tes gros succés de Toulouse, Mont de Marsan, Bayonne et St Rémi de Provence, qu'est qu'on peut souhaiter de plus ?

P.P. :Sourires... De continuer à triompher, de continuer à rencontrer des bons toros pour pouvoir faire de jolies choses parce que j'ai un bon pilier de chevaux sous la main.

R.C. :Qu'est ce que tu souhaites à l'aficion audoise ?

P.P. :D'arriver à pouvoir profiter pendant de nombreuses années de ce genre de spectacle organisé courageusement par les membres du cercle taurin. Que les gens prennent conscience que la tauromachie est de plus en plus facilement menacée. Sans faire de scenario castastrophe, il faut que les gens montrent leur intérêt pour les traditions taurines en général. Parcequ'il n'y a qu'eux qui pouront les faire survivre en répondant présent lors des férias.

R.C. : Un dernier mot ?

P.P. : Oui, on espére etre moins embétés par le vacarme des anti-corrida. Je respecte que l'on puisse ne pas aimer la tauromachie mais je ne pense pas qu'eux nous respectent en agisant tel qu'ils le font devant le portail des arènes. Nous ne les empêchons pas d'exister et ne leur demandons pas d'adhérer à notre passion. Simplement, qu'ils nous laissent exister et qu'ils laissent évoluer l'aficion. Il faut qu'ils sachent que si çà ne les interresse pas, il y a des millers de personnes qui sont passionnées et qui se deplacent pour voir ce genre de spectacle.
