Ranch Cardoso is a family venture that commenced over 20 years ago as a hobby and prospered into a world-renowned enterprise.

The Cardoso's childhood began in a small village called Agualva in Terceira, on the Azores Island in Portugal, where the desire to raise horses and attend bullfights came naturally.

Over the years, what started with just one horse became a brood of over 20 horses. Some have come and gone, but their spirits continue to live on with us.

Then along the way, they befriended Candido Costa, whom at the time owned & operated a ranch in Chino, California. Needless to say, their friendship flourished and Candido became part of the family.

We specialize in the art of Bloodless Bullfights and Bullfighting horses, where the horse's show-off their bravery along with their artistic, skillful, and graceful movements at various Portuguese Festas and bullfighting events in Southern and Central California. Our site is heavily armored with videos and images from shows where they have performed, featuring our beautiful bullfighting horses, Ganadarias (bull breeders), Cavaleiros, Forcados, and Matadors from Europe, Mexico, and USA.

While some may consider bullfighting to be a sport, we know it to be a form of art and requires a great deal of confidence and courage from each horse. The level of skill they've acquired only enriches and enhances their resume even more. Our horses are also not just for bullfighting! Each have their own unique abilities and potential such as dressage, jumping, eventing, equitation, racing, and more.

Our mission and goal is to increase the awareness and preserve the culture and art of the sport and our heritage across the nation and worldwide. Additionally, our other goals is to support humane causes both for animals and children. The children's lives can be enriched with knowledge and foundation, while the animals find new homes and stay off the street. This can be done through proper education and lots of campaigning.
